About Me

So, you heard about this craft beer bar in Homestead, Pa. You finally find it. You pull in and notice that the neighborhood isn't the prettiest. It's a bit gloomy. You finally go inside of this bar (Blue Dust) and realize that you just  walked into a craft beer paradise.

You then notice some dunce on a bar stool wearing a fedora and photographing his pints of beer. Sometimes you might even notice that he sometimes brings a pocket watch with him.

That's most likely me I'm obviously a bit of an eccentric. I'm Bill Kostkas. I'm 25-years-old and I'm fairly new to the craft beer world. Since I've hit the legal drinking age I've been fascinated with all of the different kinds of beers out there to try. There's a huge difference between commercial beers and your typical craft beer that I love. That's that your typical craft brewer puts everything he or she has into that product.

I'm obviously not some king of beer expert, nor have I ever proclaimed to be one. I only call myself a beer snob because co-workers call me that (they say I drink the funky stuff). I enjoy trying the plethora of brews the world has to offer. Every beer has a different experience in store for you!

I love venturing to different places and trying more and more of these beers. I started this blog in September of 2011 to give me an outlet to share my thoughts on said beers. I also like to find some good food to sometimes eat with these beers as well, so don't be surprise if I ever do a few posts about some great places to chow down.

Aside from writing about beer, food and interesting places to find beer and food I also try to keep everyone updated with interesting happenings in the beer world.

My favorite beer styles include fruit beers, helles lagers, pilsners, hefeweizens and pumpkin ales. Even that list is ever-evolving. Just as I am when it comes to trying assorted brews.
