Beer Review: Peroni Nastro Azzurro

When it comes to having a fancy Italian dinner, some prefer a glass of wine to compliment their meal. I prefer a certain beer: Peroni Nastro Azzurro by Peroni Brewery, or Peroni as I have always referred to it.

Serving Type: Draft

ABV: Five percent

Appearance: Peroni comes off looking like your typical light beer with its golden tone. Their isn't much of a head in either the draft or bottle (I've had it served both ways). The golden beer is very clear. it almost appears as if it's watered down, but I promise you that isn't the case. Peroni packs its own punch.

Smell: The smell isn't strong enough to write home about. I got a small hint of wheat.

Taste: The beer's taste has a powerful hoppiness to it. I think that the word "sharp" describes the taste perfectly. Pair this beer with your favorite Italian dish and you're in for a romantic dinner, regardless if your date is with you or not.

Overall Rating:

It looks very light but tastes very hoppy. It's a great beer to pair with dinner, but it's not something I'd want to have in my fridge to sample at my own convenience.
