Beer Review: Busted Knuckle Irish Ale

Serving Type: Bottle

ABV: 6.2 percent

Appearance: Busted Knuckle is a dark shade of copper. A very colorful body. There isn't a lot of carbonation as the beer appears to be somewhat flat. The head isn't as active as you'd normally expect it. A very thin layer of white sits atop the body. Get used to staring into that red abyss.

Smell: This beer smells somewhat piny and zesty, but not that citrus zest I mention a lot. It almost smells a little bit spicy.

Taste: Busted Knuckle's taste is extremely malty on the front. I also got a decent hint of caramel as well. It also features that infamous bitter taste on the finish that most Irish Reds provide to the drinker.

Overall Rating:

Overall, this is a decent beer. I prefer what I drink to be a little more lively. This seemed a bit flat and more on the dead side. I really enjoy the bitterness on the back that Irish style ales give you. I'm willing to drink this beer again in the future.
