Beer Review: Lindeman's Framboise

Appearance: Lindeman's Framboise has the appearance of cranberry juice. If I had to place it exactly, I'd say that it's a bit darker. It's very ruby-red and almost a shade of purple. It has a white head that has red and maroon highlights and is fizzy. The body has a decent amount of carbonation flowing to the crown of the lambic.

Smell: This doesn't really smell like a beer, but that doesn't mean it's not heavenly. It's smells very sweet and sour at the same time. The tartness of the raspberries help in that endeavor.

Taste: The taste of this doesn't venture too far from where you left after smelling it. Your tongue will be full of raspberry taste. The sweetness hits then suddenly, the tartness takes it away and leaves you wanting more. It gives you that feeling when someone uses you, but you enjoyed it.

Overall Rating: 

This is more of a dessert beer than anything, but it's so pleasant that you can have it at any point in the day. I wouldn't pair it with any foods except for the dessert type. This is a great beer for a change of pace. I've never been disappointed with it.
