Little Bit of Change

I spent a decent amount of time tidying things up on this blog yesterday. So, I'll take the opportunity to point out exactly what I've been doing.

The first thing you'll notice is that I'm beginning to phase out the old mug rating system for each of my beer reviews. What I have in place of it is basically the same one through five rating scale, but now with a much more attractive set of icons than those dreary old  cartoon mugs.

On each review there will be five icons. The difference is that the number of icons that the beer's rating garners will be colorized. The ones that it didn't receive will remain in black and white. The example I have above has a rating of four out of the five possible. Simple, right?

It's definitely a time-consuming process. I have approximately 130 beer reviews and Going through each individually to paste the rating images in is monotonous and annoying. So,  I'm doing them whenever I have a few minutes. This project won'y be done for possibly a week. For a while you might still be able to dig up a review with the cartoon mugs.

Another endeavor I've ventured on is actually keeping my beer rankings up-to-date. At last count I now have 40 beers ranked on this list. I also intend on updating them as fast as possible instead of trying beers, deciding that I want to put them on the list and not getting around to it for a month. For the first time, I've changed the top-ranked beer. I love Anchor Steam Beer, but as for right now I love Southern Tier's Pumking better.

Also, I have the correct rating system on each of these ranked beers on said page. I just haven't got around to actually fixing each specific review as of yet.
