He Said He'd Be Back

If you're among those in my generation that grew up with the Ghostbusters movies as a big part of their early childhoods you will then instantly recognize this quote from the second movie.

"Death is but a door. Time is but a window. I'll be back." - Vigo the Carpathian

Indeed he will be back soon. We have become used to releases of oddly-named and creative beers in the craft community. Some of my favorites and named brews that pay homage to good movies and movie characters. I come to you today with big news that few people know. I've decided to share some of this information with you as I deem it culturally significant.

A brewery that's well-known for making extremely creative beers is working on one that will be named for the Vigo character. It is going to be a Baltic Porter with raspberry undertones called Throne of Blood. Releases is set for the middle of this summer. Also, the History Channel will be airing a special around the same time on the subject and cultural impact of Vigo in which we will see a behind-the-scenes look at the brewery (which I can't disclose for obvious reasons) and its process of making Throne of Blood.
