A week and a half ago, I had a post concerning how drinking a pint or two of beer per day could have a positive impact on your health. I also included a few links supporting that claim. One of them even went as far as to say that drinking beer each day could even be healthier than a glass of wine!
I came across another link yesterday. A piece posted by Catholic Online described 10 reasons that beer is healthy for you.
A few of the health benefits listed in the article include Diabetes prevention, reduced risk of cancer and increase of vitamin intake.
As a Catholic myself, and a terrible one at at that, this is wonderful news coming from any Catholic publication or source! We have so many rules to abide by at different types of masses and at certain points in the year.
Now we are being told we can have a beer or two and not feel like terrible sinners. The job of labeling those craft beer fans among my family still remains to my grandmother, whom on Christmas Eve doesn't always approve of the exchanging of beer cases.
Other than that, it doesn't matter what denomination or religion you are. Beer is somewhat healthy for you. So, pour yourself a glass.

Beer: Good for Your Health
Posted by
Bill Kostkas
Going back to The Godfather, we see Michael Corleone telling his father that wine is good for him. I've always been a proponent of the possibility that consuming beer was healthy for humans. Alright, maybe it was more because I wanted that to be a true fact. It wasn't until I did a bit of research that I saw this idea to be true.
Here are a few links I've compiled supporting this claim.
According to the Boston Globe, drinking a pint of beer a day is even more beneficial to your health. The article also says that beer can also be more beneficial than wine since it's made from a greater amount of water, thus filling you up quicker.
In another article concerning the same study, it says that beer drinkers that consume a pint on a daily basis have their chances of getting heart disease lowered by 31 percent.
An article from CBS News a few years ago says that moderate consumption of any form of alcohol reduces your risk of heart attacks, strokes and dementia. It also goes on to say that beer drinkers have the least chance to develop any of the aforementioned diseases. Charlie Sheen would refer to that as winning.
It's found in each of the links I've provided for you, but I'll also say it right here. Keep in mind that it's only moderate consumption that helps your health. This doesn't mean that you should have four or five beers each day. It's certainly alright to have a beer or two with dinner, which is something I've been trying to tell people for years.
"It's good for you, pop."
